LinkBoss is a cloud platform that inserts internal links in bulk and charges you per link, in credits that expire. Linkweave is a plugin that scores links on your own server and does not count them at all. That is the whole difference — everything below is just working out when each one is the right answer.
At the top of the LinkBoss pricing section sits a banner reading “Tired of counting credits? Try Unlimited — one flat annual price, no credit limits.” We did not write that sentence. They did, on their own page, above their own credit plans.
It is the fairest possible summary of what follows. If counting credits is a real enough problem that the vendor advertises an escape from it, then it is worth understanding exactly what is being counted before you buy a plan that counts it.
A LinkBoss credit is consumed when the platform inserts an interlink. Their monthly plans reset the allowance each month and unused credits expire. Their yearly plans release the whole allowance at once, which is better, but the allowance is still finite and still tied to the year.
Credit systems are not inherently bad — they map cost to usage, which is honest when the vendor is genuinely paying per operation. LinkBoss runs semantic analysis in their cloud, so they are. The question is simply whether that is the shape you want your internal linking to have. Internal linking is not a one-off job. It is something you do again every time you publish, and again whenever you restructure.

There are also two “Unlimited” plans: Solo Boss at $150/yr list, $87/yr on sale, one site; and Multi Boss at $450/yr list, $197/yr on sale, three sites. Both give unlimited credits. Both cap you at 1,000 pages per site. If you are the kind of publisher who needs bulk internal linking, you are quite possibly the kind of publisher with more than 1,000 pages.
Linkweave scores link relevance with BM25 and TF‑IDF, implemented in plain PHP, running inside your WordPress install. Nothing is sent anywhere to produce a suggestion, so there is no per-operation cost for us to pass on and no counter to reset. You can accept ten suggestions this month or ten thousand; the price is identical.
We should be precise rather than absolute about this, because absolute privacy claims are usually false. There is one way content leaves your server: Linkweave Pro includes an optional bring-your-own-key LLM re-ranking mode. If you switch it on and paste in an OpenAI or Anthropic key, candidate passages go to that provider and you pay them directly at their token rates. It is off by default, it is not required for anything, and the underlying BM25 engine is what runs when it is off — including in the free build.

LinkBoss is not a worse Linkweave. It is a different and in several respects more ambitious product, and a comparison page that pretended otherwise would not be worth reading.
Comparing $99 to $99 is tempting and slightly dishonest, so here is the real shape. LinkBoss Launch at $99/yr on sale gives you 2,400 interlink credits on one site. Linkweave Personal at $59/yr gives you one site with no limit on links, and Linkweave Unlimited at $299/yr gives you every site you own with no limit on links — but Linkweave will not rewrite a sentence to make an anchor fit, and it will not build you a silo network in one click.
So the comparison is not really about money. If 2,400 links a year comfortably covers you and you want the rewriting and the silo automation, LinkBoss is worth its price. If the number of links is the thing you keep having to think about, that is the problem we removed.
Choose LinkBoss if
You need thousands of links inserted across many sites quickly, you want sentences rewritten or added so anchors read naturally, you want one-click silo structures, or you work on platforms other than WordPress. A separate cloud dashboard is a feature to you, not a cost.
Choose JnK Linkweave if
You want internal linking to be a normal part of writing rather than a budgeted operation, you would rather your content stayed on your own server, you want the price to be the same in month eleven as it was in month one, or you want to try the whole workflow free before paying anyone.
One thing we are not going to hide. Linkweave's free build is not currently installable from the WordPress plugin directory — the listing is closed while an account matter is resolved, and we do not control that timeline. The free version is a direct download from us in the meantime, which is a worse experience than a one-click install and we know it. If that is a dealbreaker for you, it is a fair one.

Monthly plans start at $11 per month for 200 credits. There are also two flat-rate Unlimited plans: Solo Boss at $150 list, $87 on sale, and Multi Boss at $450 list, $197 on sale. There is a free plan. It gives you 50 auto-insert credits on signup for one site, plus the site health and audit dashboard, orphan and dead-end page checks, cannibalisation checking and the silo building tools. Once the 50 credits are spent you need a paid plan to insert more links.
A credit is consumed when LinkBoss inserts an interlink. On monthly plans the allowance resets each month and unused credits expire. On yearly plans the full allowance is released at once and runs for the year. LinkBoss states that links already inserted stay permanent regardless of what happens to your plan.
The Unlimited plans give unlimited credits, but they are capped at 1,000 pages per site. Solo Boss covers one site and Multi Boss covers three. If your site has more than 1,000 pages, the credit plans are the ones that apply to you.
