New: Spanish and Korean translations ship with the plugin, so the admin shows in your site's language.
Fixed: a Spanish or Korean Search Console "Countries" or "Devices" file could be taken for a search queries file. Only the queries export is imported now.
v1.9.3Oct 9, 2026
* Improved: "Both mention" on suggestions no longer lists everyday words like "shows", "needs" or "says".
v1.9.2Oct 9, 2026
* Fixed: the "More tools" menu at the top of every Linkweave screen opened but could not be clicked, so URL changer, Search Console, Anchor text and Link map were only reachable from the WordPress menu. On phones the screen tabs now get their own row.
v1.9.1Oct 9, 2026
Improved: in the editor sidebar the match label now sits under the post title, so long titles no longer wrap two words to a line.
Improved: "Both mention" only lists words that explain why two posts match, not everyday words like "two", "quick" or "plan". Matching itself is unchanged.
Fixed: after an update, suggestions cached by the previous version could show for up to six hours. Updating now clears them.
v1.9.0Oct 9, 2026
New: a cleaner admin. Every screen has a short explanation of what it shows and what to do next, and the dashboard gives an overview of your internal links.
Fixed: auto-link rules could add a second link to a page the post already links to. They now skip pages the post already links to.
Fixed: if the daily scan ever dropped off WordPress's schedule, the broken-link check and the nightly report refresh stopped without a word. It now puts itself back the next time you open the admin.
Fixed: the editor said suggestions were ranked by AI when no AI step was set up.
Changed: what happens when a Pro licence ends. Pro now checks the licence once a day. After it expires, Pro keeps working as normal for 30 days and your dashboard shows when that ends. After those 30 days the Pro tools in your dashboard lock, but everything you already set up keeps working for your visitors. A refunded or cancelled licence locks the dashboard tools straight away. Updates, including security fixes, need an active licence. With Linkweave, related posts, link preview cards and click tracking keep running, and you can always undo a past URL change.
Fixed: "Build link map" (Auto-Link Map) crashed with a critical error on sites with around 1,000 posts. The same build now takes under a second.
Improved: "Add a link from the ticked posts" never forces a link onto a weak word. When a post doesn't mention the topic, you get a link to open it in the editor and add a sentence yourself.
v1.8.0Oct 5, 2026
* New: deactivating the plugin asks one optional question about what went wrong. Answering is optional, skipping deactivates straight away, and nothing from your site content is sent.
v1.7.0Sep 17, 2026
Rules Applied count recounts when published content changes, and explains why 0 can be right
v1.6.0Sep 15, 2026
Fixed: the Anchor Text report and its CSV were full of anchors that are not in any post ("Submitted", "Name", "Stage"…), pointing at admin-ajax.php or wp-cron.php with a live nonce, plus wp-admin links. Content rendered in a background job had its request URL recorded as a link. Only real front-end page links are recorded now, and the old rows are removed on update.
Fixed: "Insert selected" and single inserts in the editor counted in the Anchor Text report, Orphans and Inbound Counts before the post was saved. Reports now follow saved, published content only. "Add links" (inbound bulk-apply) refreshes the edited posts' links as soon as it saves them.
Fixed: the Search Console import could give a query that is exactly one post's title to a different post that mentions the topic more. A title that contains the query word for word wins now.
Fixed: with the licence inactive, Pro screens opened by URL showed WordPress's "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page."; they now say the licence is not active and link to the key box. Posts using [jnk_related_posts] no longer print the raw shortcode to visitors.
Fixed: the "no licence" notice said no key had "been entered yet" right after you deactivated, and named only four of the locked features. It now says no licence is active and lists them all. The notice also hides when you activate in place, and "Last checked" updates after "Check for updates now".
Improved: URL Changer Apply and Roll back confirm next to the history table; the Rules table marks rules made by the auto-link map; the Dashboard links to the Pro screens.
Also includes every free-build fix in this release (link graph filtering, save refreshes Orphans and Inbound Counts, ranking cache, Classic Editor reasons and phrase matching, Dashboard count, notices, two new settings).
v1.5.2Sep 14, 2026
Fixed: with another JnK plugin active, the whole site could stop loading. The bundled licensing client is now safe to load twice (SDK 1.5.1). Activating a licence clears the "no license key" notice and the key prompt without a reload, and a server problem during activation is explained in plain words.
Fixed: link preview cards could not be switched on; the setting was never saved. It saves, and visitors see the card.
Fixed: the one-click auto-link map created no rules and said no title phrase appeared anywhere else. It now finds title phrases used in other posts and its counts add up.
Fixed: adding inbound links in bulk added none on ordinary writing. It links on a title phrase already in the other post, and says which post was skipped and why.
Fixed: the Search Console import accepted any CSV and called it "Imported", and a query could boost a post that merely mentioned it over the post it is about. Non-Queries files are refused, and title matches win.
Fixed: click analytics counted theme menu clicks; only links in post content are counted, and Link Clicks now shows where each click came from.
Fixed: a site already on the latest version was offered the same version as an update, which never cleared.
Fixed: "Insert selected" joined several links with no space between them.
Fixed: deactivating the plugin left its background queue scheduled, which logged a cron error every minute.
Improved: the URL Changer preview lists the affected posts; Unlink asks first; Replace uses an inline field that checks the URL; the anchor report explains that rule links are not counted; an empty related-posts list tells the author why; saving AI mode without a key warns you.
Changed: "View details" and "Support" on the Plugins screen go to jnkplugins.com instead of the closed wordpress.org listing, and the licence key is documented where it actually is (JnK Linkweave → Settings).
Also includes every free-build fix in 1.5.2.
v1.5.1Sep 11, 2026
* Security: licence responses are now signature-verified in the plugin. A tampered or unsigned verdict is rejected instead of trusted.
v1.5.0Aug 30, 2026
Pro: related posts shortcode, anchor-text analysis report with CSV export, opt-in link preview hover cards. Free build: the translation template no longer references Pro files.
v1.4.1Aug 28, 2026
Inserting a suggested link works again on WordPress 6.6+ — it did nothing for every user of 1.4.0. Classic-editor insertion no longer duplicates the post, the Classic toolbar button works, and the stale internal version constant is fixed. Clearer empty states, real words for relevance, and unstemmed keywords. Pro: the auto-link map now keys rules on phrases that actually appear in your posts.
v1.4.0Jul 30, 2026
The editor sidebar now explains why it is empty and links the index build — that step used to be a prerequisite nobody was told about. Start-here card on the dashboard, clearer empty states. Pro: licence activation explains how to fix a failure and keeps its success message.
v1.3.0Jul 29, 2026
Broken Links now finds links to deleted, unpublished or renamed posts (previously the report stayed empty); the report shows post titles instead of raw IDs; renamed to JnK Linkweave.
v1.2.7Jul 26, 2026
The Upgrade to Pro screen's pricing link now carries campaign parameters so plugin-sourced visits can be attributed. No data is collected.
Older releases (8)
v1.2.6Jul 26, 2026
Menu moved next to your other content tools; rules no longer link a post to itself; fixed a stray … in editor suggestions.
v1.2.5Jul 26, 2026
Renamed to JnK Linkweave (formerly Automatic Linker).
Security: reading auto-link rules, index status, and site-wide analysis reports now requires the manage_options capability.
Added: an Inbound Counts screen listing internal links pointing at each published post.
Added: a Post types setting to choose which post types are indexed and eligible as link targets.
Improved: Rebuild index now also refreshes the internal-link graph, so Orphans and Inbound Counts are accurate immediately.
Updated the bundled Action Scheduler to 4.0.0; minimum WordPress is now 6.8.
v1.2.4Jul 16, 2026
Plugins-screen quick links (Settings, Docs, Support) and JnK Plugins branding. No feature or data changes.
v1.2.2Jul 13, 2026
One-click broken-link repair; inbound opportunities use BM25; clearer min-length default
v1.2.1Jul 13, 2026
Bundled SDK sync: fix fatal when multiple JnK Pro plugins are active
v1.0.7Jul 5, 2026
Fix broken Upgrade/Feedback admin links and restore the Trinity Forms integration (EntryVault).
v1.0.6Jul 5, 2026
Point bundled SDK at api.jnkplugins.com (platform domain migration).
v1.0.5Jul 1, 2026
Maintenance: internal naming and metadata consistency; no functional changes.
Updates arrive in your WordPress dashboard like any other plugin, free version included.
