Trinity Forms vs Fluent Forms
This is the closest match in our comparison set. Fluent Forms made most of the same choices we did: a useful free version, every feature on every paid licence, and a real lifetime option. So the differences are in the details, and some of them favour Fluent.
The short version
Fluent's free version is broader in some places, ours in others. Fluent Free takes Stripe payments (with a 1.9% fee), has conversational forms, an AI builder, Mailchimp and Slack, and a migrator from five other form plugins. Trinity Forms Free has multi-step forms, quizzes and surveys, private entry notes and per-form data retention, which Fluent keeps for Pro or doesn't list.
In Pro, Fluent has more. More field types, more payment gateways and 60+ integrations, including Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho CRM that we don't have. Trinity Forms Pro builds signatures and PDFs in rather than selling them as add-ons, and costs less on every plan, unlimited sites included.

Fluent Forms, for fairness: we have not bought a Fluent Forms Pro licence, so there are no screenshots of it here and every Pro row comes from Fluent's own pages. Fluent Forms Free is on wordpress.org if you want to try it.
Where Fluent is ahead
- Integrations. 60+, including Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Trello, Telegram and the Fluent family (FluentCRM, FluentBooking). We have 14.
- Payments. Square, Authorize.net, Razorpay, Paystack and Paddle as well as Stripe, PayPal and Mollie. We have the last three.
- Fields. They list 65+ input fields; Trinity Forms 2.5.0 ships 39 (31 free, 8 Pro). NPS, ranking, colour picker, address autocomplete and pop-up forms are theirs, not ours.
- Migration in. Their free migrator imports forms and entries from WPForms, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms and Caldera Forms. Ours imports Gravity Forms only.
- Size. 700,000+ active installs on wordpress.org, and a large community around it.
Where Trinity Forms is ahead
- Free multi-step forms, quizzes and surveys. Fluent lists all three as Pro.
- Free entry handling. Private notes on entries, per-form retention (delete a form's entries after N days) and WordPress personal-data export and erase. Fluent's auto-delete is Pro.
- Built in, not add-ons. Signatures and PDFs from entries are part of Pro. Fluent sells Signature as an add-on and PDFs come from a separate free add-on.
- Front-end entry views with magic links, so a submitter can come back and edit their entry without an account.
- Licence expiry. Pro keeps working for 30 days. After that you can't add new Pro fields, but forms keep the ones they have, still submit, and payment forms keep taking payments with no time limit.

Over three years for one site, Fluent Pro is $221 if it renews at its $79 list price (their page shows the first-year discount but doesn't state the renewal price), or $279 lifetime. Trinity Forms Solo is $87 over three years, or $89 lifetime, and covers 3 sites. For unlimited sites, Fluent is $837 over three years at list renewals, or $719 lifetime. Our Agency plan is $297 over three years, or $299 lifetime.
How we compared. Trinity Forms rows were checked against the released 2.5.0 free and Pro builds; screenshots are from Pro 2.5.0 on WordPress 7.0.2 with demo data. Fluent rows come from the Free vs Pro table on fluentforms.com (read programmatically, row by row), their pricing page and their wordpress.org listing, on 17 September 2026. We did not install Fluent Forms Pro. The two rows marked not tested are ones Fluent's pages don't mention.
Moving from Fluent Forms to Trinity Forms
- Export your entries. Fluent exports CSV, Excel, ODS or JSON on the free version. Keep the CSV.
- Rebuild each form. There is no Fluent importer in Trinity Forms. Conditional logic and multi-step forms are free.
- Recreate notifications and integrations. Email notifications are free; Mailchimp, Slack and the rest need Pro with us, where Fluent has those two free.
- Swap the block or shortcode, send a test submission, then deactivate Fluent Forms.
Choose Fluent Forms if
You need an integration, gateway or field we don't have, you want free Stripe payments and don't mind 1.9%, you're moving from WPForms, Ninja or CF7 and want a migrator, or you already use FluentCRM or FluentBooking.
Choose Trinity Forms if
You want multi-step forms, quizzes and entry notes without paying; you want signatures and PDFs without add-ons; you want a lower price at any number of sites; or you maintain client sites where a missed renewal should degrade quietly.
What counts against us. Trinity Forms is not in the WordPress plugin directory at the moment: the listing is temporarily closed, pending a review. The free version is a direct download from us and updates itself from your dashboard. Fluent Forms installs in one click and has 700,000+ active installs.
